Beginner guitarist stuck on what to do next?

I'm 17 and just got my first acoustic guitar last Thursday. I've been doing lessons online and learning the intros to simple songs as well as the basic chords. I'm having trouble switching chords quickly, of course. But it's really getting old just switching chords for an hour.. The first day I got my guitar, I played for 7 hours, the second day 5 hours, the third 3 hours, and now I'm only playing like an hour a day, if that... I completely understand that it takes patience to learn, but is there anything else I could practice to keep me motivated? I'm just so bored with doing the same things over and over again, so if anyone has any advice on what else I could do to increase my chord changing speed while keeping occupied, it would be greatly appreciated!! :)
