Need help finishing this poem. Any advice?
You save a lot of money on insurance??it sounds like one of those insurance commercials from Geico. It could be a poem though I have seen a lot of stuff on here that people call poetry and I will be honest there are times when I start to doubt if I really know what a poem is. Who am I to say what a poem is ?.There are many styles I guess like the poems that have a rhythm with some words that rhyme and others that seem like they are written while trying to make sure that no two words in the entire poem come any where close to rhyming and they are so emotionally specific that a lot of times only the person who wrote it can relate to it and only right after they finish writing it .Once they go to sleep and wake up I bet they look at what they wrote and say what is this supposed to be about ? and is it saying that it is for or against what ever it is about ?I bet they say to themselves man you know what ? I think I just wrote down a bunch of words that sounded good .and artsy and I must have completely forgotten the fact that words are supposed to express a certain meaning or idea and people use them to communicate how they feel about a subject.People don't use words in sentence form just for the sake of saying them and having a mumble a thon........except on yahoo answers I'll just post it and say it's poetry . Certain people seem to have been taught that when you see a bunch of words you can't understand and they make absolutely no sense but they look like a poem ,..pretend that you see some deep meaning and give several deep comments about how your life was changed by reading it and nobody will know any better except me it seems..This may or may not resemble how I feel about calling this a poem .Whatever it is I never said it was bad .What did I say anyway ? I hope you don't mind that I wrote my answer as a "poem" yep that's what all of the words I wrote are they are poetry ....answer poetry ..... yep that's what it is..... poetry ......sure it is ,okay then.
